Founded in 1902, Picchiani & Barlacchi has witnessed over a century of national and international historical events, celebrating them with its creations. In more than a century of history, our workshops have given life to countless objects and crests that, to this day, maintain their unaltered value.
The constant pursuit of excellence has allowed us to secure significant contracts and collaborations. For instance, the Targa Florio, the prize for the world’s most famous Italian automotive race, has been commissioned to Picchiani & Barlacchi since its first edition in 1905 and is still minted at our facility in Florence.
Or the badges for the Italian team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. In 1972, the company began a lasting collaboration with the FAO, and a few years later, it commemorated the 10th anniversary of an indelible event for Florence, the flooding of the Arno, with an artistic medal.
Despite a challenging period in the 1990s due to competition from certain foreign markets with pre-packaged items, the company continued to stand out with refined and durable products, thanks to solid corporate values, primarily quality.
In 2013, the world’s leading Mega Yacht company, Cantieri Navali Benetti, decided to celebrate its 140 years of history with an artistic creation by Picchiani & Barlacchi.
Additionally, in 2015, the company minted the official coin for Expo 2015, intended for heads of state and major Italian and international institutions.
